Why Do We Collect Personal Data?
We collect personal data in order to process membership, registration for ISPP events, orders for items available for purchase, and to provide member benefits.  The following information explains in more detail how your data is used and retained so that you are fully informed prior to your consent.

What We Do with Your Data
ISPP uses your data to process membership and event registrations, provide member benefits, process orders for items for purchase (e.g., hard copies of Advances in Political Psychology), and generate internal reports.
Who Will See Your Data
Primarily ISPP staff and account holders will be the ones who see data in the accounts in our online system.  Others that might see your data are support staff of the software, Centium Software, when assisting ISPP staff with technical issues or questions.  Those who might see limited or anonymous data include ISPP's Governing Council and committee members; staff of ISPP's journal publisher (name, mailing, and e-mail address to send hard copies and provide online access for the journal); hotels with which ISPP contracts for guest rooms (name only to compare to overall hotel guest lists to ensure ISPP is given credit for all guests in the hotel for an ISPP event); other current ISPP members (via our Member Directory, available exclusively to current members for professional networking and collaboration purposes; only your contact information will be included, but you may also opt-out of being listed in the Directory); event attendees and the public (if you are presenting at an ISPP event, your name and affiliation only will be listed in the program); reporters (contact information only for those who have expressly opted they wish to be contacted by reporters).
How Long We Store Your Data
ISPP will keep your data in our online system for up to five years.  If your account has had no activity for five years, it will be removed from the system.  Some other data elements, such as listings in our conference programs, will remain available indefinitely. 

For those who are retired, please select the income range that corresponds to what you reported for your income taxes (or similar reporting) within the past year. Thank you.
